WORKS

Tanya Schultz creates immersive installations filling gallery spaces in countries including Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Netherlands, South Korea, and the United States. Below are a select few of her recent installations with their respective image gallery for a more detailed look into the creatures inhabiting the space.

Here comes sunshine

"Here comes sunshine" was Schultz's first exhibition in the United States shown at Corey Helford Gallery, Los Angeles, California from January 13, 2018 - February 17, 2018.

‘Here Comes Sunshine’ references two mythologies: Luilekkerland and the Land of Cockaigne. Both are lands of plenty. Both are made entirely of food. Both are places of eternal satisfaction, where your desires are always – and at the same time, never – fulfilled.

Newest new world

Discover a tiny-spellbinding world made out of rainbow-colored sugar.

"Newest new world" was exhibited at Christchurch Art Gallery in Christchurch, New Zealand from December 18, 2015 - June 19, 2016.

Recalling legendary landscapes that transformed their appearance and could not be found upon a traveller’s return, Schultz connects these ideas to Christchurch through the incorporation of local stories and mythologies.
